4.  Went over an email from Danny Lassiter of Utilities, Inc. which states the clarifier is 90% complete, Pump 1 is 95% complete.    The new system is 150,000-200,000 gallons—enough to supply the subdivision for 2 days.  Hauling of effluent is to be 12-15 loads per day, Monday – Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.  September 10, the golf course began spraying.  The holding pond is 2 ft below max level.  He assures that alternate ways of disposal are being explored.

5.  A homeowner states that trucks are there as early as 6:30 a.m., that 10 trucks had come and gone by 11:00 a.m. The truck drivers run stop signs.  The feeling is that new ways of disposal are not being explored seriously.  It was suggested that an email be sent to every property owner urging them to contact the Depts. of Water and Transportation regarding this situation.  Also, contact Star News with the hope they would do a story.  Suggestions of options of disposal should be written and then shared with property owners.  A couple of homeowners stated they would video/record the activity in order to have authentication for their concerns when speaking with the water company and news companies .

6.  A report was made on the Pender County Planning Board meeting regarding the Hampstead Town Center.  Gas station, fast food, grocery store, along with other businesses and retail stores will be there.  It was urged that members of BPOA and all property owners need to pay attention to what’s happening with the Pender County Planning Board.  A call for a volunteer to receive emails from them (Planning Board) to monitor if someone needs to represent us at their meeting.
